As a follow up to my previous post, and to pre-empt myopic immigration polices we are about to see, take a look at this article on automation. Going forward and looking back, consider which is the biggest factor in job losses: outsourcing or automation.

Perhaps it would be better to take time to understand the past, examine the present, and plan for the future.

A quote from a financial conference panelist in San Francisco a few months ago comes to mind:

“Be patient and move slowly to avoid mistakes.”
