Investments 2e
Imagine your finance professor having a beer at a bar in late 2008 as the economic crisis unfolded. A conversation between your professor and another patron arises. The other patron asks your professor “Oh, you are a professor, what do you teach?” I respond with “Investments” and other courses. Given the financial systems were apparently falling apart at that time, the next question was very apropos: “Investments? What are you teaching students these days?” At the time I responded with a simple “some combination of forgotten fundamentals and flawed fundamentals.” This book presents the forgotten fundamentals and offers potential corrections to the flawed fundamentals.
This book of represents the “middle way” between vague presentation slides and dense textbooks. This book is formatted to allow room for note-taking directly in-line with the material via wide margins. You will find questions to check your understanding of the material throughout the book. These questions also foster classroom interaction. Answers are available at the end of the book. The book is also spiral-bound to accommodate easier note-taking during lectures. This book is available on my LuLu marketplace page in either coil bound or hardcover format.
Corporate Finance 4e
I teach corporate finance at the introductory undergraduate, interme- diate undergraduate, and introductory MBA levels (and the intermediate MBA level in the future). While teaching those courses I notice significant material overlap in traditional textbooks. In some cases I observe paragraphs are verbatim duplicates in traditional textbooks labeled “Introductory” and “Intermediate.” Corporate Finance 4e combines my lecture notes from all four levels of instruction into a single text, a significant cost savings for students.

A Finance Ph.D. Student’s Encyclopedia
This book includes notes from all of the finance courses I took during my Finance Ph.D. studies: Investments, Event Studies, Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Financial Institutions, Asset Pricing, Market Microstructure, and numerous special topics. In my opinion this is the only book available that includes such a comprehensive list of topics.
After leaving my notes dormant for years I decided to assemble them into this book and make them available to you. I believe the core theories and principles of finance are covered quite well in this first edition text. If you would like to supplement these comprehensive finance notes with focused econometrics notes consider my other book, Applied Finance and General Statistical Analysis.
The book is available now on my CreateSpace eStore and on Amazon.com. You may view the table of contents here or use Amazon’s interior viewer.
