I talked about this in class when the question arose about a “corporate tax holiday” and repatriation of funds. I questioned who would really benefit and concluded wealthy people with large stock portfolios.

As you can tell by people interviewed in this article, the working class, the “base” of voters for Trump, are not benefitting from stock market increases. In addition, they appear unaware of how Trump’s proposed policy changes will further widen the wealth gap.
