I mentioned in passing that Apple has 104% of the share of profits in the smartphone segment during class today. The linked article is the source of that statement. Although I own just one equity fund, Apple is the number one holding in that fund. So, say what you want about the number of units shipped vs. Android, Apple is dominating smartphone profits by far. We also estimated Apple’s intrinsic value somewhere around $220 using a simplistic model. The question now is, can Apple maintain profit supremacy long enough for the market value of my Apple position to catch up to today’s intrinsic value estimate?
