Who would have seen Disneyland as a class warfare battleground?
I don’t search for places that may be a battleground for class warfare, but it does not come as a suprise. Jimi Hendrix said: “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”
Conspicuous consumption, as explained by Veblin in 1899, is a red flag to me for deep-seeded unhappiness. These rich men and women lack a satisfied mind, unable to enjoy the fact they have their basic needs met 1000 times over every day.
