California’s culture seems more suited to mobility and adaptability, traits needed for successful startup companies. Surprisingly, the article points out that Texas non-compete laws strengthened over the years. If you can’t leave your company to create a startup, then you won’t see many startups.
Nevertheless, that is just one of many points that explains why California is better than Texas. Yes, I live in California and I am biased.
